 Self Contained
As a documentary wedding photographer, I found the Talbot Hotel Carlow to present some unique challenges, particularly with its lighting conditions in certain areas. However, having never shot in this venue before only added to the excitement of the day. Despite these challenges, I was able to adapt and creatively utilize the available light, capturing a variety of photographic shots that encapsulated the essence of the wedding. The interplay of mood lighting and fairy lights during the evening allowed me to experiment with different techniques, ensuring that I documented every heartfelt moment and candid interaction. It gave me the oppertunity to use my 24mm lens as a wider angle is needed when space is limited. It proved to be a perfect choice as the results speack for themselves.
Summary
The Talbot Hotel Carlow is cherished not only for its beautiful setting and attentive service but also for fostering an environment where guests can truly enjoy themselves. The combination of great food, engaging activities, and a lively crowd made my job as a photographer rewarding, allowing me to capture genuine moments of joy that reflected the spirit of the day. While at times it was challanging with the lighting conditions, they did not stand in the way of a successful wedding day where the bride, groom and wedding guests had a terrific day.
